The Task

Hospital germs

Multiresistent bacterial strains (MRSA) and so called hospital germs are a problem of our time.

A consquence of this is, that the number of the dangerous infections and deaths is increasing. Furthermore, these pathogens pose a risk for the personnel.

Improvement of hygiene conditions

Several solutions have been developed for the combat against bacterial strains and germs. One of these consists of the improvement of hygiene conditions in hospitals and nursing homes.
So far boundaries are set for their efficiency by the characteristics of the textiles.

Materials such as bed linen, patient clothing, personnel clothing, curtains and others are disinfected through the laundry at the moment and during the subsequent use immediately contaminated again. This poses a high risk of infection!
